Commercial employee EFZ (vocational education and training diploma) profiles M, E and B

Commercial employees in the mechanical, electrical and metalworking industry work in a variety of areas of the company. In the Administration department, MEM commercial employees produce correspondence such as emails, letters, file notes, reports, etc.and create a variety of documents. They frequently organise meetings and business trips.

Duration: 3 years

Polymechanic EFZ (vocational education and training diploma)

Depending on the field of work, polymechanics produce parts from metals and plastics, from tiny watch screws through to massive turbine wheels.

Duration: 4 years

Mould maker EFZ

Mould makers create foundry patterns. CAD data and workshop drawings, sketches and drafts are used as the basis for production. Mould makers edit 3D data on a computer and create the necessary milling programs for production on CNC machines. They always rely on state-of-the-art technology.

Duration: 4 years

Mould practician EBA (vocational certificate)

Mould practicians manufacture moulds and patterns which are used for different processes and applications. Based on the order, they seek a practical solution and design the mould or pattern before manufacturing it manually or using a machine.

Duration: 2 years

Logistician EFZ (vocational education and training diploma)

Warehouse logisticians manage warehouses. They receive goods, check and enter them into the computer system and store them using industrial trucks or complex conveying systems. In the process, they have to observe the different storage practices for products such as foodstuffs, medicines, screws and dangerous chemicals. If orders come in, they make all the necessary preparations, create delivery documents and load the vehicles.

Casting technologist EFZ (vocational education and training diploma)

Casting technologists are experts in the production process for cast products, from production planning through to quality control, as well as the materials and procedures to be used.

Duration: 4 years

Casting moulder EFZ (vocational education and training diploma)

Casting molten metal into moulds still forms the basis for all castings nowadays. Depending on the area of application and the product requirements, casting moulders use the appropriate procedures to manufacture high-quality cast parts either manually or using highly engineered systems.
